Zip Code

Where the car is being sold from (ex: 76209)

Doors

How many doors are on your vehicle? (ex: 4)

Transmission

Automatic or standard

Engine

What type of engine runs your car? (ex: 4 cylinder) You may be able to find this information in your car's owner manual

2 WD / 4 WD

Does your car drove with two or four wheels? You may be able to find this information in your car's owner manual

Fuel

What type of fuel does your car use? (ex: gasoline)

List Price

How much are you selling your car for?

Miles

This must be answered as honestly as possible, if you are planning on driving long distances before the car is sold, you may want to account for that here.

VIN Number

This can be found on the drivers side windshield or on the driver's side door panel. This VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is very important, buyers will use this to get a Carfax report and ensure the quality of the vehicle.

Photo

A photo will greatly increase your selling power, buyers feel more confident in cars they can see. If you do not have a digital camera or scanner, you may want to take the photo to a photo center to have it transferred to a CD, so you can upload it to the Carlot.com site.

Please note any extras that the car has, like a new sound system, you should also inform buyers of any body damage or repairs that need to be done in this area.

Step 2: Get Selling!

Log on to Carlot.com and click on sell your car. This is where all the information you compiled comes in handy.

Step 3: Fill it out

Review all the information from step one and add it to the simple on-line sell your car form. After you have entered all the information, review it and check for accuracy.

Step 4: Pay

Make your $9.95 payment and your car will be listed on Carlot.com for 30 days.

Step 5: Start selling

Your ad will be posted shortly after step four is completed. Soon thereafter buyer leads will start to come your way!

It's as simple as that, if you would like to sell more than one car just repeat steps one through five for the next vehicle you are looking to sell.
